No.  You may choose to have your children with you in the service or to take advantage of our wonderful children’s ministry.  The children’s ministry is a place where loving volunteers share God’s love and teach His Word in an age appropriate manner.  We have a “Nursing/Cry Room” for moms and the little ones.

What type of church or denomination is First Baptist?

We are a church of imperfect people leaning into the perfect love of Jesus. We value biblical truth, authentic community, and honest conversations. By affiliating with Southern Baptist, we are able to partner together in reaching people around the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What kind of people attend FBC Coldspring?

As a community of diverse and imperfect people, all of our stories are different. We are coming together on a journey to experience and share the love of Jesus. God has called us to be agents of hope and healing to a world that has brokenness and searches for hope.

  • We are meant to be a blessing beyond ourselves.
  • We have a purpose that goes beyond our walls.
  • We’ve been given a love beyond this world.
  • We are imperfect people experiencing the perfect love of Jesus.
  • We are Imperfectly Church.

We hope you’ll consider joining us as we strive to be the church as Jesus meant us to be. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, you are welcome here.

What do I wear to church?

Come as you are! We strive toward an atmosphere of authentic community anchored in God’s gracious love and acceptance. We care much more about you than your wardrobe or fashion. We have a wide variety of dress among our members and friends. Most dress very casually in jeans and t-shirts. Others dress “business casual” while some wear their “Sunday best.” Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.

Where should I park?

There is parking near our main entrance on the north and east sides of the building. As well, you may park across the street on our property and in the parking along the streets near the buildings. You will find Campus Signs to assist you.  Handicap parking is available closest to the doors on both north and east sides of the building.

What about my kids?

Our Children’s Ministry building is monitored by adults as well as our Safety Team.  There is a required check-in that provides restricted access for your child’s safety.

Nursery-PreSchool & Kindergarten -is available during the 9am Small Group Bible studies and our 10:30 worship service.  It is a safe and clean place for the babies and toddlers.  Preschoolers will experience hands on activities, craft projects, interactive Bible stories, music and motions, and small group interaction.

First Kids (Grade 1-5) –meet for age appropriate Bible study at 9am and Kid’s Worship at 10:30am.  Kid’s Worship includes praise & worship, teaching programs, and small group activities that engage your children.

What is the worship service like?

We are a multi-generational church that seeks to create a blend of today’s worship music with the traditional styles of music, prayer, and relevant Christ-centered teaching.  Our band and singers seek to lead us into a time of worship.

Do you take contributions or offerings during the service?

We believe giving reflects a grateful heart and is one expression of worship.  Hundreds give joyfully every week to continue the ministry of First Baptist.  People give through our Church App, on the website, in the offering box, and even in the offering plate.  But, we do not want you to feel pressure to give.

If you’re a guest, this service is our gift to you, no strings attached. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you matter to God. We’re glad you’re here.

Are there places where I can serve at FBC?

Yes.  God has equipped and called each of His children to serve Him and others.  There are various ministries that are on going and many that occur throughout the year.  We encourage you to find a place where God can use you to make a difference.
